Keep in mind that as you work, you’re going to learn about a wide variety of topics, not always ones you care about or agree with though you’ll have to write like you do, as well as internet marketing skills such as search engine optimization.  You also have to be well organized to keep track of deadlines, clients and bills, and then make sure to stand by your principles when it comes to how much you are owed, how work is to be done and delivered and when you will work.  Remember, many employers outsource to save both time and money; you’re there to help them save time, but that’s no reason to let yourself work for next to nothing, so stick to your bids and your payment policies.  Finally, always keep your standard of work high and what your client wishes.
