2. Can you buy the same product at Wal-Mart for 30%-50% less? You reach a time where it is hard to convince people about the quality of your product if it is grossly over priced.
Certainly your product is a high-quality one or you wouldn’t be using. But if your prospects, or even people in your downline, can go to Wal-Mart and buy a similar product for less some of them will.
People who are not making money in their business normally quit using the product based on price and believability in it. Plus many people shop at Wal-Mart and it’s just more convenient to pick it up than it is to wait on it to be shipped.
3. Does the compensation plan have quick pay retail bonuses and the ability to create fast income from them? I see it all the time where a person drops out of network marketing because they’re not making money quick enough.
It is very exciting to receive even a small check right away and that’s what your network marketing company should provide you. More people will retail products when they know they are going to get paid the following week. This is good for their excitement level and for their cash flow.
Of course residual income is what many network marketers want. You can create an excellent residual income if you pay plan rewards you in the future for work you are doing today. This makes it more likely you will choose that specific network marketing opportunity over another one.

Most Multi-level marketing products are sold at the retail level with a pretty good profit margin. This brings up the question of why people do not retail more if there is so much money to be made?
Let’s analyze that a little bit closer.
1. They do not have a high belief level in the product they are selling. Depending on the product line many Multi-level marketing distributors do not use their own products often enough.
The best way to develop a belief level in a product is to use it and understand everything about it. This makes it much easier to retail the product both online and face to face.
2. Many Multi-level marketing products are overpriced for what you get. One problem that network marketing companies face is justifying the prices they charge. This is especially true on a product line that a person can go down to a local retailer and purchase for half the price.
Of course the draw of an MLM business is often times the compensation plan. To be able to a pay commissions on several levels deep there has to be profit built into each level. This can present a problem for people when it comes to retailing their products.
3. Many people work full time jobs and retailing products can be time consuming. Everyone knows that the real money to be made in multi-level marketing is through building a large downline.
Ultimately the dream is to create a walkaway income that will continue long after you quit working your business. That’s what drivews people to spend most of their time on sponsoring and not on selling the product.
4. Many MLM marketers are not Internet oriented and therefore do not take advantage of the opportunities Internet marketing offers. This is especially true on selling products that offer autoship.
Today you can earn very good money retailing products just by getting visitors to your company provided website. If you can get the visitors you stand a great chance of making a few sales and creating repeat retail profits.
This really makes it possible for more people to do retailing if they just learn basic internet traffic generation techniques. By doing this you can earn some healthy profits on the retail level without spending time talking to people, delivering products, or picking up checks.
5. Many people do not really understand how much money there is to be made in retailing MLM products. At the very least you could fund all of your Internet marketing efforts just on the profit you make selling some products.
It is a given that a lot of volume is created off of wholesale purchases. There certainly is nothing wrong with this as you want everyone in your group to be ordering products from themselves.

I do believe the job of being a network marketing sponsor is a hard one. They walk the fine line between being there to help their downline and doing too much until they make them dependent.

The biggest waste of time is how much you spend answering emails to questions that are published right on the mlm company website. Some people lack the confidence to do even the littlest things and become dependent on you as their upline or sponsor.
The quicker you can cut the cord with these types of people the better off both of you will be. Network marketers need to develop confidence and learn how to do on the internet marketing the same way everyone else is today.
The faster you can identify the type of distributor you are working with the better off you will be. As their sponsor if they have money they are probably better off using the system provided by the company.
